It’s That Time

Recently I’ve noticed that a blog has become almost obsolete for me. This is mainly due to services such as Twitter and Facebook, and other means of networking, but also comes along with the transition on the site’s part from a blog to more of an information and resource archive. You’ll start to see more practical content here on Pancak.es, such as WordPress themes and plugins, hopefully more tutorials on programming and design, etc. The year is coming to an end and you can expect changes in the near future – some already visible at strawandberry.com.

Happy Holidays everyone!

Flourd: URL Shortener

One Comment Written by Nick on November 6th, 2009 in Work.

I’ve been working on an ongoing project of mine, called Flourd, which is an upcoming file hosting and sharing website. Right now it’s in private development stages, but I’ve released a simple public URL shortening feature on the site that anyone is allowed to use. If you have any long website addresses, you can shrink them down to a managable size with Flourd.com. And in the near future, when public accounts can be registered, you’ll be able to keep track of your URLs and statistics within your profile.

Go check out Flourd.com now and and keep a lookout for the full launch!

Happy Halloween!

TMail + MySpace = Fail

One Comment Written by Nick on October 25th, 2009 in Life.

Up until last Wednesday, I was a proud owner of a T-Mobile Sidekick. As many of you know, the Sidekicks support their own email system at tmail.com, which I found pretty useful for push email notifications regardless of my current location. I even decided to hook this email up to my MySpace account, which I barely even use anymore. Now that I own a G1, and my tmail account was removed, I can’t delete my MySpace account. Which, by the way, is something I really want to do.

Thanks T-Mobile!

Fresh Theme and Business Card Site

No Comments Written by Nick on October 17th, 2009 in Work.

As you may have noticed, I applied a new theme to the blog tonight. It’s got some new colors similar to my Twitter profile, a new header design, and some nifty Javascript I talked about yesterday, called Cufon. It’s kind of experimental at this point, so let me know if you run into any bugs with it.

Also, I setup a minimal design on Straw and Berry, where my portfolio used to be. It resembles a business card and is intended as a small info-base on who I am, what sites I operate, and how to get in touch with me. Also using Cufon.

Until next time –
